2 Killed & 1 Injured in Single Car Crash

Two women were killed, when the car they were in crashed on Tuesday night. Both women were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car was taken to a Newport Hospital, where he was treated and released.

The elderly man was driving his 1989 Oldsmobile Cutlass north on State Highway 2, when the car left the road, hit a fence and a ditch, then flipped over in a yard.

Drugs and alcohol were not factors in this crash and no charges are anticipated. It’s a tragic accident and our condolences go out to the families of the victims.
