How back tattoos for women have changed in the past decade.

Many female tattooists have some form of back tattoos for women however, while these used to be more commonly restricted to the lower back, any part including the whole back area can be used for modern body art. In fact, many women are moving away from the lower back designs, partly because of the rather dubious name given to this type of tat – “The tramp stamp.” There is no longer the same stigma attached to this style of design that there used to be and this may be due to its popularity. According to statistics a fifth of women who have tattoos have one in this particular area and it is often the first tattoo for many female tattoo enthusiasts.
