Buddhism is the dominant religion in the Sri Lanka population. However there are still other religions present like this photo here of a Roman Catholic Chapel in Negombo.

Catholicism is a universal faith that has been preached to the four corners of the world because of dedicated missionaries who risked their lives to spread the word of God.

Roman Catholic has the most number of followers all over the world.

It's interesting that they practice Catholicism over there, It would be interesting to study how religions have spread in the area and how they got there in the first place.

Missionaries must have been here long time ago and managed to spread Catholicism.
